Synopsis

This film tells the story of a family rooted in influential art circles. The son of a railroad worker, born in 1906 in Hazebrouck in northern France, Aimé Maeght becomes a friend and dealer to many of the twentieth century's most influential artists. Prior to his international fame with the Foundation that bears his name, Aimé Maeght would become one of the largest dealers of modern and contemporary art of his time, launching a business based on a wide range of artists. He helps getting dozens of emerging artists off the ground. And today, the Maeght Foundation, boasts of more than 12,000 works, visited annually by over 200,000 people from all over the world.
