Great chefs with starred restaurants leave their signature on everything: the terroir they draw from, the suppliers they choose, the dishes that make their reputation. Yet these exceptional cooks remain approachable and full of humanity.

Christophe Hay, a two-star chef based in Montlivault, was named Chef of the Year by the Gault&Millau guide in 2021. The film follows him over several months, from the COVID-19 lockdown to the reopening of his two starred restaurants, alongside his partners, in care homes and behind the stove, as he makes his craft part of an approach that respects both people and nature.
