The film tells the story of a major moment in New Caledonia’s politics through the daily lives of two anti-independence leaders, Sonia Backès and Philippe Gomès, and two pro-independence leaders, Rock Wamytan and Charles Washetine. It follows them before, during and after the vote, which the “No” side won by a narrow margin.
