In the footsteps of Gloria, a mixed race woman born in the 1980s, we went to meet young Caledonians called to bring to life the common destiny inscribed in the marble of the Noumea Accord. Gloria, her family and friends, all of very diverse ethnic origins, opened their doors to us and shared their hopes and fears with us as the exit from the Noumea accord approached.
Encouraged by exceptional economic development, these under-30 look to the future with confidence and a great awareness of the importance of the challenges to be taken up in the coming years. In Koné, where the Koniambo metallurgical plant site is in full swing, they lay the foundations of their family life, in Noumea, they prepare themselves for possible political responsibilities, in Lifou they endeavor to preserve their quality of life. A resolutely optimistic film about a citizen generation.
